PFS Regional Conference in Manchester explores the power of Personal Brand
The financial planning profession is evolving rapidly, and one message stood out clearly at the recent PFS Regional Conference in Manchester: trust is increasingly established before a client ever picks up the phone.
Chaired by Kusal Ariyawansa, Chartered & Certified Financial Planner and TEDx speaker, the conference brought together advisers from across the region to explore how personal branding, digital visibility and emerging technologies are reshaping the way financial professionals attract and engage clients.
In a profession where qualifications remain essential, delegates were encouraged to consider how they communicate their expertise, build trust and differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Discussions highlighted the growing importance of developing a visible professional presence, specialising within a niche, and embracing new ways of connecting with clients.
The highly interactive programme featured practical insights and real-world experiences, covering topics including:
- Defining and differentiating your personal brand
- How digital content can support business growth
- Creating effective short-form video content
- Remaining FCA compliant whilst building an online presence
- Using technology and AI to work more efficiently and create additional capacity
Delegates also heard from industry experts and practitioners who shared their experiences of building credibility, engaging audiences and adapting to changing client expectations in a digital-first world.
The event received excellent feedback from attendees, reinforcing the value of creating opportunities for advisers to discuss the future of the profession and the skills required to succeed in a changing environment.
A special thank you goes to Capital Group, Matt Grice, B-Compliant, Jay Dhaliwal APFS and all the speakers and contributors who helped make the conference such a success.
The Manchester regional committee remains committed to supporting advisers through educational events, networking opportunities and discussions that address the challenges and opportunities facing the profession today.
