European designations

Your Passport to Europe

The Personal Finance Society has a mutual recognition agreement with the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA) to secure members a professional foothold in Europe.

Our Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications are aligned and recognised through the equivalent European financial planning standards, which are fully, or part accredited by the main European regulators.

Personal Finance Society members holding the Diploma in Financial Planning or Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning are granted European Financial Advisor™ certification and eligibility to use the EFA designation.

Members holding the Advanced Diploma are granted European Financial Planner™ certification and are eligible to use the EFP designation.

These designations are included as part of your PFS membership — with no additional cost — and provide a visible, credible signal of your expertise to clients and peers across Europe.

Eligible members can download a personalised certificate from their MyPFS account confirming their accreditation.

This agreement with EFPA delivers on our shared vision of engaging consumers with high quality and trusted professional financial advice.
