This course provides a grounding in the market for equity release products, the products themselves, and the processes involved in advising and selling lifetime mortgages and home reversion plans. Some of the text runs as a sequence, starting with identifying needs and moving through the pre-contract, contract and post-contract stages. However, it seeks to go further by providing a briefing on the economic and legal environment. Experienced advisers may consider some material in the book to be common sense or information that they already know; however, the book also contains insights into things that they may not deal with every day. The material addresses what the products are, and how things are done, but enriches this bringing together of knowledge by explaining why things are done.
In the financial services sector, we are in a unique and privileged position to serve the public, create wealth and solve problems. The more we know, the more we can achieve.
BuildIng a successful career in personal finance
