This award is for individuals driving positive change in the profession.

You may be improving access, inclusion, education, sustainability, or consumer outcomes through initiatives that go beyond your formal role — demonstrating commitment, leadership, and tangible impact that helps strengthen trust in financial planning.

What we're looking for

Driving meaningful change - Demonstrating leadership in initiatives that positively impact the profession, such as improving access, inclusion, education, sustainability, or consumer outcomes.

Commitment beyond your primary role - Going above and beyond day‑to‑day responsibilities to progress the profession, including work in EDI, ESG, financial education, or supporting the next generation.

Tangible impact - Evidencing clear outcomes and long‑term impact that strengthen public trust, confidence, or professionalism within financial planning.

Who Can Apply?

  • Full members of the Personal Finance Society*

* Members of the PFS Board and advisers with ongoing disciplinary actions against them are excluded.

Stage 1

When assessing the submission, the judges will be looking for evidence of the following:

  • Explain your passion for improving the financial planning profession
  • Examples of your commitment to going the extra mile
  • Why you deserve the accolade Champion of Change 2026/27
  • Examples of positive outcomes your work has had
  • Additional contributions / personal statement
