On 16 December 2009, the FSA published consultation paper CP09/31 setting out its views on the RDR professionalism proposals, and also whether and how the RDR should apply to corporate pensions and pure protection advice. On 7 December 2009 the PFS published Building trust through independent standards: Our view on an Independent Professional Standards Board. On 25 June 2009 the FSA published its RDR Consultation Paper (CP 09/18) setting out the next steps and draft rules on retail distribution of investment products. On 6th March 2009 the FSA issued a statement seeking to clarify its intention for the new benchmark qualification at level 4 to deliver a step change in standards of professionalism.
