Expanded Online Exam Centre Network

The CII has in recent months substantially expanded the locations where candidates can sit CII exams online, when studying for the Certificate in Financial Planning, Certificate Mortgage Advice, Certificate in Equity Release and Certificate in Financial Administration.

New centres include: Croydon, Douglas, Dublin, & Preston. As a result we now have a network of almost 60 online exam centres across the UK.

Availability will vary from centre to centre in accordance with patterns of demand. We recommend booking six weeks in advance to give the best chance of getting your preferred exam date and timing at your chosen centre.

• You enter when you are ready - sittings are typically available monthly, often on a daily or weekly basis according to demand.
• You receive provisional notification of your results immediately upon completion.
• You can progress with your studies at a pace that matches your study and career aspirations.
• Should you be unsuccessful in the examination you can apply to re-sit at a date and time convenient to you.

Online exam centres (UK only)

There are currently more than 50 online exam centres in 24 locations, selected for their accessibility via rail/road links. Availability will vary from centre to centre in accordance with patterns of demand. Applications are accepted from between three months to seven working days before the day of the exam you wish to sit, though we recommend booking six weeks in advance to give the best chance of getting your preferred exam date and timing at your chosen centre.

* Exams are set though the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). The CII carries its equal opportunities policy through to cover all the exams it administers. Provisions are made for candidates who are disabled, this may include dyslexic, blind, partially sighted or those with dexterity impediments.

If you are disabled or have a condition which you believe should be taken into consideration in assessing your exam performance, you should apply in writing, enclosing medical evidence such as a doctor’s letter. Applications without medical evidence will not be considered.

Your application should preferably accompany your exam entry. The CII will hold your medical evidence on file, but you must send in a written request for provision to be made/consideration given before each subsequent exam you enter.
