Citizens Advice – Money Planner of the Year
Sponsored by

In 2007 Citizens Advice launched a second pilot project to give Citizens Advice Bureaux clients access to free generic financial advice. Thirty-six financial adviser members of the Personal Finance Society have volunteered their time and expertise to the Money Plan initiative to deliver this pro-bono service over the last two years, benefitting over 1,100 consumers.
A recent review of the MoneyPlan pilot has indicated that the initiative has succeeded in reaching people who had not previously been able to access to independent financial advice, and that the service has been highly valued.
The Money Planner of the Year award is to recognise the time and effort of the Personal Finance Society members that have participated in this project.
Judging
A questionnaire will be sent to each CAB Office Manager asking for detailed feedback on the Personal Finance Society member who engaged with the CAB MoneyPlan initiative in their region and gave up their time and energy to help members of the public with their financial affairs.
The MoneyPlan initiative pilot has been a great success and with the appropriate funding, may be rolled out nationally. If you would like to register your interest to participate in any future CAB MoneyPlan initiatives please let us know.
This award does not require entry. The winner will be automatically selected from participants according to the judging process.
