As a member of the Personal Finance Society you comit to a code
As part of our stated mission to protect the public by serving
the profession, the PFS/CII has developed and refined a code of
ethics. Ethics is the cornerstone of professionalism, and ethical
behaviour is crucial in the battle to secure public trust and
confidence in financial services. It is essential that all those
working within financial servicesc comit to ethical standards if
the profession is to prosper.
Setting standards of integrity for our profession
The code of ethics has been designed to provide you with
practical, realistic guidance to follow. It identifies you as
belonging to a genuine profession.
The code requires that you:
- Act with the highest ethical standards and integrity.
- Act in the best interests of each client.
- Provide a high standard of service.
- Treat people fairly regardless of: race or racial group; sex or
sexual orientation; religion or belief; age; and disability.
To help you understand and apply the code of ethics, your
membership gives you access to free learning
packs and CPD
events around the UK.
You can read the full version of The Code here.
