General Election 2015

This year's General Election is the most keenly contested in a generation, with host of outcomes still possible. The CII has produced a number of election related publications for members ahead of vote on 7 May.

Our General Election 2015 series includes a run down of the parties' manifestos, a collection of thoughts from our sector on what an incoming government should address in relation to financial services and our Skills Manifesto 2015. This page will continue to be updated, in particular to cover the aftermath of the election and what it might mean for our sector.

 

General Election manifesto briefing

With the General Election campaign now in full swing, the parties have published their manifestos. They set out the respective programmes for government. However, given the possible outcome of a hung Parliament, they represent the starting point for any coalition negotiations. Our briefing privides an overview of the manifestos and focuses on policy proposals relating to our profession.
