You are responsible for items on loan to you until they are
returned to the library. In the event of loss you will be invoiced
for the current price of the item (or the current price of a
comparable item if out of print). However, you will not be held
liable for any loss in the return post provided you have obtained a
"proof of postage" certificate (free from post offices) and the
parcel is properly wrapped.
If the item you want is not on the shelves but is in stock it
can usually be reserved for you. We have multiple copies of many
books, so the waiting period will often be quite short. If the item
you want is not in the library stock, we will assess and buy if
relevant to the collection.
