Meet the team

The PFS has nine full time members of staff who work together to deliver the strategy set by the board, our regional events programme, member support services and many more benefits.

Keith Richards Keith Richards
Chief Executive Officer

Keith has over 30 years' experience within financial services and has operated at a senior level throughout most of this time in various roles, spanning both manufacturing and distribution. He has an established media profile and is a visible figurehead within the Intermediary sector, regularly called upon for comment on UK financial services matters both home and abroad.

Keith was appointed Chief Executive of the Personal Finance Society in May 2013 bringing with him a wealth of experience to the role, combining his intermediary background and extensive knowledge and experience of the marketplace to ensure that the PFS remains the professional body of choice.

Martin Wells
Martin Wells
Head of Operations

Martin enjoyed a successful career in event management within local Government prior to joining the Personal Finance Society in March 2008 as Project Manager responsible for the regional Programme. During 2008 his responsibilities grew and Martin's role now focuses on the operational delivery of all PFS membership activities, together with Budgetary control.

Lee Travis 2 Lee Travis
Head of Professional Development

Lee was appointed as Head of Professional Development at the Personal Finance Society and the Society of Mortgage Professionals in 2015. His financial services career spans over 17 years and has held roles as CEO of a professional development academy, Financial Adviser, Mortgage Broker and Building Society Manager. Lee is very passionate about the ongoing professional development of our sector, in particular with regard to new talent, and was Chair of two of the 'Trailblazer' initiatives that the government introduced for financial services apprenticeships. 

Mark Hutchinson

Head of Marketing

Mark joined the Personal Finance Society in November 2008. He is responsible for promoting the organisation to a range of stakeholders, communicating the events and services available to members and delivering an overall membership package that is highly valued.

Mark's background marketing financial services stretches back to 1989. He has recently held senior marketing roles within AIG Life and Close Investments. Mark completed his MBA in 2002. 

Joe Tauriello Joe Tauriello
Media Relations Executive

Joe joined the Personal Finance Society in April 2016 after four years as a business journalist in Adelaide, Australia, and a short stint with global financial PR agency Finsbury. His focus is on the Personal Finance Society's engagement with external stakeholders including members and the trade and consumer press.

Joe is a Chartered Accountant, having commenced his career with global professional services firm PwC. 

Vishal Pandya Vishal Pandya
Operations Manager

Vishal joined the Society of Mortgage Professionals in April 2016 to work alongside the Personal Finance Society in order to provide more focused benefits to our members working within the Mortgage and Personal Protection professions.

Vishal has 6 years experience of working in the Mortgage, Personal Protection and Banking industries.

Caroline Nelson

Professional Development Co-ordinator

Caroline is the central point of contact for Personal Finance Society relationships whilst providing general administrative support.

Her focus is maintaining a solid relationship with not only our Partners in Professionalism but with all committee officers across our 26 regions.
